What does this test measure?

The page checks browser-visible security and compatibility signals without scanning files, installing software, or claiming malware detection.

☆

Why is this test important?

Review HTTPS, WebRTC, browser capabilities, storage support, privacy signals, and compatibility information with transparent explanations.

▻

How do you run the test?

Run the check in the browser you normally use, read every warning, and compare after changing one privacy or security setting.

▥

How should results be interpreted?

A warning identifies a setting or exposed capability worth reviewing; it is not proof that the device is infected or unsafe.

☑

Normal and problematic results

A warning identifies a setting or exposed capability worth reviewing; it is not proof that the device is infected or unsafe.

△

Technical limitations

The test is not antivirus, penetration testing, identity protection, or a complete security audit of the device, router, extensions, and accounts.

↘

Why can the score decrease?

Unstable measurements, denied permissions, unsupported browser APIs, background load, power saving, or an incomplete test can affect the result. When a score changes, the result screen explains the reason.

⌕

What should you do if a problem is found?

Update the browser and operating system, review extensions and permissions, enable HTTPS, and follow trusted vendor guidance.

Example Result Explanation

✓ GoodA stable, repeatable result in the expected range. A clear and consistent experience is expected.
△ AttentionSome indicators should be checked again. Reduce background activity and repeat the test under the same conditions.
× ProblemA repeated clear failure or instability means the relevant setting, connection, or device needs closer review.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does a browser security test actually check?

It reviews what your browser exposes to the sites you visit: whether the connection is encrypted, which capabilities are enabled, how storage and cookies behave, and whether address information leaks through WebRTC. It does not scan your computer for viruses.

Is HTTPS on its own enough to be safe?

HTTPS proves the connection is encrypted and that you are talking to the domain in the address bar. It says nothing about whether that site is trustworthy. A fraudulent site can hold a valid certificate as easily as a genuine one.

Does a private browsing window make me anonymous?

No. It stops history and cookies being kept on your device after you close it. Your network, your employer and the sites you visit can still see the same traffic they always could.
